When you see someone walking in a direction that will pass your booth  make eye contact. As soon as you do put a massive friendly smile on your face and keep that eye contact until they get close enough to implement the next step.

As the person approaches your booth you will stop him or her. There are a number of ways to do this, but try to do it non-verbally as it will have a greater impact as they are already making eye contact with you. Try holding out your hand in a way that you indicate you want to shake their hand, they have to stop to shake your hand. There are other ways you may come up with, but this is extremely effective.

As soon as the person has stopped you need to speak, simply say “Hi I am [say your name]” and wait for the person to respond. Then ask them what they know about your company and its products. From there you have a great springboard into talking about your company.
