Parenting Tip for the Internet

Parenting Tip for the Internet

There’s nothing more pleasing than to see some good parenting skills. Here is a great parenting tip for the internet usage when the household uses Wifi.

Simply hold off giving the Wifi password to the kids until all of their daily shores are done. Then each day make sure you change the Wifi password.

Of course, it means that you will most likely be very unpopular once you implement the rule. It may take a few weeks for the kids to adjust, but once they do, you will have a ‘tight ship’, as they say.

Kids wants nothing more than to connect to the internet, for games, learning and…other things. It is a massive part of peoples lives these days, and that is why it will prove to be such a powerful motivator.

Before you implement this tactic though, make sure that other wireless connections on your street are not available. If the connections are ‘open’, you may want to ask your neighbours to make them secure. This will stop your kids from rebelling and then stealing Mr. Johnson’s Wifi.

Another Parenting Tip for the Internet

Or you can down the the route of one guy on the internet who had enough of his daughter not doing anything and spending all her time on social media websites that he went and shot her laptop. It has gotten millions of views, and there is even parodies of it on the internet, here’s one of them:

While I don’t advocate the shooting of laptops, I like to try and give a well rounded approach to parenting…or at least some stress relief. I think the best possible cure though, is to try and spend time with you children doing things away from the home. Then at the very least, the internet becomes a luxury and not an expected commodity.
