Conference boredom, it’s inevitable right? Don’t fool yourself. Conference boredom is not an immutable law of nature, it can be stopped and we want to show you just how.
When you are exhibiting at a conference in can be very easy to become bored.
Your stand, booth or exhibit can’t move and since your part of that exhibit your movement is limited too. You stand (or sit) in virtually the same position for one or more days with the same view where the only thing changing of the people walking by.
Pretty depressing when you think about the.
Almost like a trapped in a prison cell.
But there is a way out!
There is a way to beat conference boredom.
Interaction is the key to set you free.
Too often people at a conference exhibit wait for delegates to come and speak with them.
Delegates are extremely chatty people don’t want to talk to everybody at every exhibit all of the time. That’s right isn’t it?
Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Far too often delegates will walk around the conference floor in a dazed state with glaze over eyes. Unless you stop them they’re probably not going to stop. If they don’t stop, you won’t be able to speak with them.
The one single step to beating conference boredom
So first thing to do is stand in the aisles next to your exhibit and start talking to people, you’ll be shocked, they actually stop and talk to you.
Now, not everyone you speak with is going to want your product/service, but how will you find out and she speak with them? At the very least you can increase your company’s awareness within the minds of the delegates.
But the two great advantages of doing this, aside from your company getting more leads and increase brand awareness, is that you will beat conference boredom and become motivated.
You will be absolutely shocked at how fast time flies when you are talking to delegates instead of just sitting within your exhibit. The easier that time seems to pass the more interesting people you find the more motivated you become to talk to more people.
This is a great positive spiral of action that is very simple to implement and will beat your conference boredom for good.
