We have all had a time in our lives when the vending machine trick s us into paying but not giving over the product. What do you do in those situations? Do you just think, “hey-ho, the money is gone, it’s just one of those things!”

Well you shouldn’t!

The thing that most people do is to find someone working in the area that has the key to the machine. It then becomes a rather simple case of explaining the situation and asking the person to open up the machine and hand you what you have paid for.

However, there are many vending machines out there that are stand alone, and have nobody present who can open up the machine. What do you do in those situations?

You need to work out what other items could fall down on to the item that is stuck. Then, put in some more money and unleash that item from it’s little prison. With some luck the item will come into contact with the stuck product and dislodge it. Reach down and pick up both items you have paid for.

In this video you can see that the vending machine trick has been taken to the next level. The buyer has calculated how to buy one item, have it fall, and then dislodge two other drinks. It may be that the drinks are his/her unlucky attempts, or that the two drinks were just hanging out there. Either way the outcome is that the vending machine company didn’t end up making money without losing stock. So well done, that man!

Of course, this vending machine trick won’t work if the item you are trying to buy is on the very top line of products. The item you are dropping onto the stuck product should also be heavy enough to dislodge it.
