Holding Doors
As a chivalrous man I do like holding doors for people. From time to time I will see someone who is about to pass through the door I am moving through, and I will hold it for them, even though they are a few seconds away. It can get a little awkward.
But have you ever been in the situation where you over think holding doors open for people.
It may be that you look ahead and see someone that will be at the door in around twenty seconds, and yet you still feel obliged to hold the door for them.
The only way this doesn’t become creepy is when you are holding doors for people who clearly need it, or that you know.
However, in most instances the person is a stranger, and you are simply freaking them out, and wasting your time…or just being British!
Please don’t use this as a guide to intentionally freak people out by holding doors open…oh dear…I’ve gone and placed that thought in your head now 😉
