Do you get sick of ‘I am so deep’ style photos on social media feeds?
What’s an ‘I am so deep’ photo?
You know it, it’s where there is a massive quote written over some landscape photo. This is meant to show that the person is a deep thinker. Hence the name ‘I am so deep’ photo.
While, I accept that it is possible to related to a quote and that you might want to express that the quote rings true for you. In some instances I can assume that people are posting these just to look insightful. You sometimes see the same person posting conflicting quotes, over the course of a few days, showing they really don’t think about these things, and perhaps are not so deep after all.
I am SO deep – are you?
Do these photos make you seem thoughtful, academic or insightful? Maybe if they were used with discretion.
Sadly, to me it seems that the type of people who love these types of things have no control about reposting a new quote photo them numerous times a day.
